Firmware Update Guide:

When there’s a new update for your dashcam’s software, you’ll get a message on the app when you open it. To make sure everything goes smoothly, just follow these steps:

Back Up Your Important Files:

Save any important videos or files from your dashcam by either downloading them to your phone or taking out the memory card and copying them to a computer.

Format the Memory Card:

Use the app to format the SD card.

Start the Firmware Update:

In the app, go to “Firmware Update.” The new software will first download to your phone and then be sent to the dashcam.
Note: Keep the app open during this process. You can touch the app screen or turn off your phone’s auto-lock feature to make sure it doesn’t interrupt the update.

Complete the Update:

Once the firmware upload is done, press “OK” to start the update on the dashcam.

Wait for the Update:

The dashcam’s LED light will blink for about 45 seconds. When it turns off, the update is finished.

Restart the Dashcam:

Hold down the dashcam’s power button for three seconds to restart it.
Note: Your previous settings on the dashcam will be reset, so remember to set them up again.

For Hardwire Kit Users:

If you have a hardwire kit connected to the dashcam, go back to the app and re-select “Park Mode” to make sure it continues recording and capturing events when your vehicle is parked.

Connecting to the dashcam when using wireless carplay, android auto or WiFi:
To use the dashcam app, you first need to connect to the dashcam via WiFi. If your phone is already connected to the entertainment system via CarPlay or Android Auto, or to a WiFi network, you will need to disconnect from these networks first before trying to connect to the dashcam.
The WiFi connection to the entertainment system can be easily terminated by turning it off or connecting the smartphone to it via a cable.

Video File Quality:
Note full 1080P resolution dashcam files can be up to 120MB in size so when downloading files to your smartphone via the app, they are compressed to save storage space and to ensure they are easier to share. For native 1080P resolution video, please remove the SD card form the dashcam to download and view via PC.
